The company

The company is run in the second generation by Lars Sundin, with main focus towards dismantling trucks and machinery. Rackstad Bil & Delar AB has over the years developed to become one of the larger companies in the scandinavian market in the business of dismantling heavy trucks.

Damaged trucks later to be dismantled are purchased from insurance companies all over scandinavia. The used parts are then sold to brand workshops and Trucking companies all over Europe. 50% of the business comes from export to brand workshops outside of Sweden.

Through the years we have specialized in loose superstructures, where we through solid knowledge and a large range of used and new superstructures can give you the very best service.

History

The business was started by Lennart Johansson at the end of the sixties. A small garage in his mothers barn and a couple of junk cars in the back bevame the start to what today has become Rackstad Bil & Delar. The business evolved in time and when the family moved, new structures were built to fit the growing business.

When the picture of Lennart was taken in 1982, the companys´s turnover was approx. 13 million swedish crowns. At this time the company dismantled both trucks and cars. 1986 the large Thermia buildning was purchased and the production of Rackstad dumper beds och loaders was had begun.

At the moment a change of generations are taking part, and Lars who from childhood has participated actively in the company, has now taken over as Managing Director.
